The extended family add-on adds 30 minutes to your scheduled session & allows you to include all of those special family members you might not see every day. Including grandma & grandpa, aunts, uncles & all the cousins!

Change the Backdrop or Add a Location ($50)

Available for In-studio & On-location sessions. Can’t choose just one backdrop color? No problem! Once we’re happy with the first set, I’ll swap in your next chosen color while you take a short break. If you’ve added an outfit change, this is the perfect time to switch! This will add 10-15 minutes to your session to ensure everything is ready for the next look.
Disposable Camera ($50)
Available for in-home, in-studio & on-location sessions
Incorporate a disposable camera into your session to capture nostalgic, vintage moments through your own lens. I'll have the photos developed and deliver them to you, either by hand or through the mail, so you can cherish those raw, timeless memories by your own hand.
I. Before the session
Before your family photography session, I will send you a questionnaire so I can learn a little bit about you and your family. This will also give me a good idea of what your ideas and preferences for the session are. This allows me to tailor the experience specifically to your family's needs. If your little girl loves to dance, let's have a dance party! Your little boy just lost a tooth, let me know, so I can get a good close up shot of his smile! Questionnaires help me know what moments are most important to your family, so I can document all the little details you never want to forget! I'll also help you with picking outfits and the best location for outdoor sessions, if needed. To reserve your date and get officially booked on my schedule, a 50% non-refundable retainer is required at the time of signing the contract.
II. During the session
During the session, all you'll need to do is relax and focus on enjoying your family in that moment. I'll be taking care of the rest! I tend to take a more lifestyle or documentary style approach to family sessions. So I'll guide you into a position, one of which will surely be snuggling up with your family, and you will all hang out there for a bit while I snap away. The kids will possibly get bored and decide they want to do something else like run around you. Let them! These are the little things you'll want to remember about your family; How much energy your toddler had, and how wonderful the relationship is between all your kids are as they play with one another. Whenever I get your family in a nice position, and I notice any little ones have settled down, I'll make sure to get those good, classic smiling at the camera shots!
III. After the session
Premium sessions:
Once your session has concluded, I will edit and deliver 5-10 sneak peek images within 72 hours of your session. I like to deliver sneak peeks since, many times, having a professional photoshoot done is a big deal! Your final gallery will be delivered within 4-6 weeks of your scheduled session. You will be able to view, download, print, and share your images as you'd like!
Standard sessions:
I will edit and deliver 3-5 sneak peek images within 72 hours of your session. Within 4 to 6 weeks you will receive a proof gallery containing a fully edited, watermarked gallery. From this gallery, you can select 35 images that are included with the price of your package, but will also have the option to purchase extra images, or the full gallery at an additional cost. Once you have selected the images you'd like, and paid for any additional images you may want, I will send you a final gallery without a watermark where you will be able to view download, print, and share your images as you'd like!
Discounted Concepts
Every now & then, I get inspired to shoot something completely new. These concept sessions are styled to fit a specific vision, so i'm offering them at a discounted rate! Receive $100 off my premium package by selecting a concept.
Some sessions are only available during a specific time of year. These sessions also may require specific clothing or travel to specific locations that are not included in the discounted rate
These sessions will be removed/replaced once a concept has been booked! These concepts are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, so whoever finishes the booking process first, will receive the discounted session.
Cookie Caos
This lively family session takes place in the kitchen, either yours or mine, and focuses on baking together with your little ones. Expect lots of laughter, flour-covered fun, and sweet chaos as you bake and decorate cookies or a cake. I will capture every messy, magical moment as your family creates memories and treats to share.

Game Night
Capture the fun and chaos of a cozy family game night featuring your favorite traditions. Think Uno battles, Monopoly rivalries, Go Fish, pillow forts, and snack breaks, all documented in a candid, storytelling style that highlights your family’s real connection and personality.

Fireside Fun
Enjoy a cozy outdoor family session at a local campsite where you'll build a warm fire for roasting hotdogs and marshmallows. The kids will have plenty of space to run, explore, and play in nature, then come back together to share tasty treats like s'mores and make lasting memories.

Day in the Life
This one is a bit different than the others, a day in the life session will not include any posed photos. This session would mean I tag along & document your everyday activities. If your oldest gets sent off to school, I can get shots of them getting on or off the bus. If you have to get groceries, I will document what that looks like with little one's by your side. This session concept is best for those who want a documentary-style family session. This will be a 2-hour long session to allow us to document your life with no rush!

FAQ
Are the travel expenses included in your packages or covered additionally?
All sessions receive no additional travel expenses within 45 minutes of Peoria, IL. If you have decided to book one of my Premium packages you can enjoy up to 90 minutes of comped travel expenses. If you have decided to purchase any of my 3 wedding packages or either of my proposal packages, you can enjoy up to 2 1/2 hours of comped travel expenses. Beyond those limits, my travel fee is $50 per hour of travel.
If you're looking to book in Chicago, there are specific days I have available with no travel fee.
What happens if my kids misbehave?
That’s totally okay! Yes really! My approach is all about capturing real, authentic moments, not perfectly posed smiles. I try to get the classic images when the children are feeling it most! If your kids are shy, energetic, or having an off day, we’ll roll with it. Some of the most meaningful photos come from those unscripted, in-between moments. Your job is to relax and enjoy the time with your family while I take care of the rest.
Can I still book one of your family packages if my kids aren't little anymore?
Of course! No matter the age of your children, I'd love to welcome them into our session! If your children have children of their own, please let me know and I can inform you of my extended family pricing!
Where should we have our session?
Your family session can take place outdoors, in home, in my studio, or maybe you want to rent a studio you like. If you aren't sure where you'd like to pick as your location, I am more than happy to help. During my consultation prior to booking, I will chat with you about some of my favorite locations in the area we could plan your session for!
What is the best time to book our family session for?
For outdoor sessions, lighting is usually best in the late afternoon or early evening hours right before sunset. That golden hour lighting is beautiful, as long as the weather permits. I also love an overcast sky, so no matter what, we can make it work! I completely understand that golden hour timing isn't practical for all families. After you inquire, we will discuss these details and find a time that works best for your family!
What happens in the event of rain or other extreme weather?
If your session is scheduled for outdoors, I'll be watching the weather forecast the day of our session. If it looks like it will rain, I will be in touch via text or email and make the decision whether or not to postpone. I like to wait as late as possible to actually postpone because stormy skies right after or before rain are absolutely gorgeous, so if it’s not raining, we will be out there shooting! If there is other extreme weather coming during your sessions, such as tornados or high air pollution, we will discuss our options and reschedule if needed. In the case of any postponement, I will try to accommodate your session as soon as my schedule allows.
How many family members can be included in your family packages?
My family packages includes immediate family. This means that parents and their children are able to participate in the session. Whether you only have one child, or 10 children, my family packages accommodate for that. I recommend booking my premium package if you have more than 5 children to ensure we have enough time to all possible groupings.
If you want to include grandparents, aunts & uncles, cousins, etc, in your family session, you can purchase an extended family add-on for your session!
Can we bring our family pet to include in photos?
Pets are more than welcome to join us at outdoor or in-home sessions. I recommend keeping pups on a leash to ensure they don't get overwhelmed with the situation.
